Shirts are $30 and are made to order. This means the only way to get a hold of one of these stylish threads is to purchase prior to con. We may have limited supply at the con-ops desk, but why risk it? Log in and get yours today!

These are the shirts that are available to all attendees, The sponsor design will be different and exclusively given to our lucky sponsors. So if you're a sponsor and want this shirt also, you'll have to purchase this one separately.

Thats not all for today! We're also pleased to launch the Beta/Draft Schedule!

Taking on board your feedback from previous years we've made some big changes to 2015's line up.

• We've got dances running til late every night of the convention, even better is the public bar is adjacent the convention space!
• Lots more fursuit events, including new and returning favorites with time allocated for max participation
• Weather permitting we're going for round two on a movie on the pool deck!
• Dealers are now located in a separate room entirely, giving lots more space for trade
• Wide range of options of events to cater to hopefully everyone's tastes!

Please note as per the nature of an event like this, that events may change time, location or be cancelled.

Community Panel creators: We'll be in touch in regards to naming and descriptions of events; please have your bio's ready for the con-book and final schedule!

Just a reminder that online pre-registration closes 15th April. After the 15th website registration will close and you can only purchase rego at the door at $100 or $40 for a day pass.

HOTEL NEARING CAPACITY

An important update on booking hotel rooms at The Outrigger.

We've had a super busy weekend, with a flash-flood of bookings coming through and we have an update on the hotel capacity. We've now almost entirely booked the hotel. The last two floors were booked out in just over a weekend. No city view (at $110/night) rooms remain and there are only 8 twin ocean view rooms left (at $135/night).

The Outrigger have opened a 3rd type of room for booking via our discounted booking page. These are deluxe, high ocean view rooms, coming in slightly more expensive than the others ($155 per night +$30pp/night for each guest more than two booked). A few are twin rooms, however most host just the ONE king bed for those still wishing to stay at The Outrigger. There are about 20 of these rooms available so if your heart is set on staying where the action is, best hop along soon.

There are just over two months left until convention day. If you're still making plans for accomodation, don't fret. We are in communication with surrounding hotels for overflow and will have more information on this shortly.

In the mean time, websites like booking.com may still have a few (pre-purchased) city/ocean view rooms but expect to pay a lot more for them and understand that the parking discount may not apply (we're asking reaally nicely if they will allow people to get the parking discount even if they dont have the code but no promises atm).

There's some really amazing work this year coming from some very talented and kind local and international furs. You know who you are you delicious creatures! We can't wait to show off all your fine work in print!

Hello again! Holidays are coming to a close and with that its time to ramp up planning for the next one!

With the convention now just a few short months away, we're looking forward to bringing everyone updates regarding t-shirt art, beta-schedule and great new events coming to FurDU 2015.

Sponsorship slots are filling fast, with just under 40 spaces left!! Now that we've passed the 100 mark we're pleased to announce our first secret unlock! A limited run FurDU beach towel illustrated by our special guest Macroceli!

The hotel was 100% packed out last year. If you don't want to miss out so be sure to book asap! Once we're at capacity, we'll advise everyone on nearby overflow accommodation, but its always better to be in the hotel to ensure you don't miss out on any of the fun! Reminder two! Artists and dealers!
We're keeping costs down to allow you to take home more of what you earn, however dealer-table space is still strictly limited! Be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible to avoid disappointment! Dealing takes place on Saturday and Sunday, giving everyone the opportunity to chill out and have fun with each other on the Friday regardless of what they're up to!

REGOS FOR UNDER 18S!

We are very happy to announce that we are now ready to accept under 18's registrations for Furry Down Under 2015!

If you're under 18, and would like to register to attend FurDU 2015, you have the option of attending with your parent/legal guardian or nominating for someone to take care of you while you are with us. If you're attending without your parents or legal guardian, FurDU requires two things before we start:

• A consent form, signed by your parent or legal guardian.
• A nominated carer (This is someone who has also registered to attend FurDU 2015, is OVER 18, and is someone your parents trust to look after you during the convention.)

HINT: Consent forms require processing on our end, so please don't leave returning them to us till the last minute or you might miss out!
REMEMBER: Your parent/guardian or carer must be with you for you to collect your registration and enter on the day!

Are you interested in working behind the scenes?

Each year we rely on a team of amazing volunteers, furs just like you, who go above and beyond to give so generously of their time to help make Furry Down Under a huge success.
Have you got what it takes? Remember you don't need to be qualified to lend us a helping paw! All you need in order to help out is a positive outgoing attitude, the ability to work as part of a team, and dedication to getting the job done.
Volunteering is not without its perks! Not only do you get to work with a great team, FurDU volunteers who work at least 9 hours over the course of the full convention will be awarded free standard registration for the next FurDU convention (i.e. FurDU Volunteers that meet the minimum 9 hour requirement at FurDU 2015 would get free entry into FurDU 2016).

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for furs looking to volunteer at FurDU 2015.

A few extra things to take into consideration when applying:

• You MUST register for FurDU 2015 to become a volunteer.
• Volunteers are expected to arrive on time, complete the jobs assigned to them and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
• Applying does not guarantee you will become a volunteer, even if you were a volunteer in previous years.

CONBOOK SUBMISSIONS - NEW SERVER - SPONSOR SLOTS - REGO GIVE-AWAY

Hey adventurers! FurDU would like to open invitations to all artists and writers to contribute to the FurDU 2015 Conbook! We're trying something new and including an inspiration booklet with this year’s submission guide. Be sure to check it out! We’re seeking all manner of Palaeolithic creations so if you’d like to see your work in the paws of hundreds of FurDU attendees, read on!
Head to the conbook page and have a flip through our guide. Completed work should be sent through to furrydownunder@gmail.com before the submission deadline of February 15, 2015. We’d love to see some smaller images as well as big ones, so have a play around!

Sponsors slots filling fast!
The enthusiasm for sponsor registration last year was amazing and this year’s has just been crazy. Half the slots are gone already! Thank you all so much for your support! Registering early helps us to budget and organise and your help has put us in a great spot this year. We’ll be updating the site in the coming months to allow you to select your shirt size for the unlocked sponsor shirt. Stay tuned to see what the last two unlocks have in store!

Server Upgrade
We’ve finally upgraded to a high speed, Australian based server. Thanks for your patience this week! This upgrade will allow for a much zippier experience on the site. So much more bandwidth. So much room for activities! Good stuff. <3

WIN FREE REGISTRATION!
If you’re not familiar with CBFM, this Brisbane group organise a weekly meet and BBQ that’s ballooned in size and popularity over the last two years. On Dec 6th they’ll be hosting their second annual event, CBAN 2 (Electric Boogaloo!). The event is funded by any money left over from the weekly BBQs, so registration is completely free! Head in for some free food or come along to the private function in the evening for some drinks with friends. FurDU are delighted to announce that we’ll be providing a free registration for FurDU 2015 to one luckster during the prize draw in the afternoon! That’s right! Free rego and you needn’t even pester Jat. You have to register and be there on the day to have a chance to win, so hop along to their facebook page or the event website to get started.

Special Guests 2015:
FurDU loves to celebrate local talent, and the enrichment they bring to our community through their skill and service. We are pleased to announce Jay Stoat as our first special guest of 2015. Jay runs the Jaffa Books publishing company and is an author by trade, having so far released two epic fantasy novels under the name J.F.R. Coates, with more on the way!
What would a Jurassic Safari be without a T-Rex Enclosure?! We are pleased to announce Macroceli, the massive gluttonous tyrannosaur as our second special guest. Macroceli is an Illustrator by trade, working from his home in Chicago, USA. His talents are as remarkable and unique as his giant fat character and will be a great addition to the Jurassic Safari!

Dealers tables now available: Interested in dealing at FurDU?
We’re keeping Dealers Den registration costs as low as possible this year. It’s our philosophy that creatives and sellers alike are an attraction of their own and if you’re ready to showcase your craft, we’d like to facilitate that. With this in mind, a single table this year will cost you only $10 and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out the website for how to get your table.

Age restrictions: Want to attend FurDU but under 18?
In previous years our strict 18+ policy restricted unaccompanied minors from attending FurDU. We had heaps of positive feedback with people quite happy to step up and act as legal guardians, blue card holders and parents happy to see their young-ins attend our convention. With that growth are we pleased to announce that a system will soon become available to cater for approved people ages 15-18. HOTEL ANNOUNCED - ACCOMODATION DISCOUNTS

Hello again! We hope that everyone had a great weekend at Rivfur and made many great memories with friends old and new, those on our team who made it had an absolute blast! Thank you so much to the Rivfur team for putting on a fantastic weekend.

It's with a post-con high are we excited to announce room bookings are now available. With last year fully booking out the entire hotel (and most of them being us) we have been offered further fantastic discounts: the base rate per night starts at $115 (was $125 a night) and becomes even cheaper if you stay 3 or 5 nights! You and your friends could stay at the official con hotel for as little as $105 a night!

Please note the rates advertised are listed as 2 people per room. An option exists for most rooms to add extra people for a small additional fee per person per night, which may help bring your individual costs down even more! Linen (towels/pillows ect) and Door entry cards will only be issued in reflection to the number of people booked to the room. Please keep this in mind when making your booking.

As per last year, payment in full is required when booking via this link. You can still book over phone and pay only 1 night deposit. The outrigger is happy to make arrangements to cater to everyones needs/budget.

THEME ANNOUNCEMENT - REGISTRATION OPEN - MAILING LIST

FurDU would like to invite you on an adventure, 65 million years in the making. That's right, we're back! with a dinosaur story like no other in the Lost World of Surfers Paradise. Gather your friends and tree-stars and get ready for one awesome weekend.

FurDu returns this year with a wide range of new and exciting events being added to our fan favorites; including restructured tyranic fursuit games, interactive panels and shows and of course all the things that make party-con what it is. Standard registration is $80 for all three days our blast to the past running: Friday 1st through to Sunday 3rd May 2015.
